Life is busy these days! Work is coming along. By the end of this week we should have five chapters down- all ready to put into the draft. Now I’ve just got to concentrate on the proposal- which I’m finding more difficult. The audience is tricky. I’ve never written to an agent/publisher before- in non-fiction, the proposal is what gets your book attention. So, it’s got to be good! Wish me luck.
Meanwhile, just trying to get the pre-married life in order. There are a million little things to do- and it all makes me nervous. There’s the banking and the license and insurance and the name changing and the house stuff and honeymoon planning and new clothes to buy and friends to see and call and invite and visit, and… you get the picture. It probably doesn’t seem like a lot of work to someone who has it all done- but on top of all the regular stuff that life demands, the list seems a wee overwhelming. Also, the more things there are to do, the more things there are to overlook or mess up. I need to take a lesson from my mission and take a MAJOR chill pill. I learned a long time ago that things will happen like they happen, some things will work out perfectly, some things will be better than I could have imagined, and other things will be just fine. In high school/early college, I was a little obsessed with perfection. I fess up. I was the fun killer. I’m not sure if it was due to OCD or just a more normal need for things to be just so…but whatever the case, spending a year and a half with elders taught me to relax and not sweat the small stuff. This whole experience will definitely be a true test of how much I’ve actually held onto this “new attitude.” I’m going to try, hard, to not become a bridezilla. Especially considering how hard everyone is working on everything. I think it’s going to be beautiful.
It’s almost here!! A little over a month
PS Is it possible to over water a plant?
yes- that is why you read the little stick thing that comes with the plant when you buy it.
Hmmm. I read a stick thing- it’s still in there. I’ll check it out when I get home.
It’s definitely possible and I do it all the time. Don’t mean to but I figure I’ll learn one day.
Hi.
Plants don’t like wet feet. Overwatering gives wet feet. Think about yourself. Would you like your feet wet all time… When leaves turn yellow that is also a really good sign that they are getting too much water. A good way to water plants… is submerge the pot in a big bucket or sink ofwate and let th
the bubbles come out and you can water once a week or less. You can also let them sit in the sink and drip till the soil is wet all the way through. One good watering is better than a bunch of little drinks. They do sell “cheats” at the store…. little worms and characters that fall over when they need water. BUT try watering with a routine better. A little miracle grow can do a lot of good…. TOO much causes a build up of white and can kill too. IT’s a balancing act and comes with time. Let me know if you need anymore help.
TTYS. Hugs
