Aside from still not feeling to well (still waiting to figure out if I have whooping cough or regular cough) today was a good day.  I got up, with a little effort, and went to class.  I got a paper back in William James- and although I was worried about it, it seemed Dr. Paulsen enjoyed it.  On top of THAT, he decided to do the same thing for the final that he did in our Kierkegaard class.  Instead of writing another paper in class on an essay, we’ll all prepare a 30 minute presentation of a final paper and then, by lottery, 6 people will be chosen to present.  Which is sweet.  Because that means I only have to prepare one more paper instead of two.  And because I talk so much in that class that a 30 minute presentation isn’t all that scary.

After class I had to wait for John to get done with his class, and so I decided to go upstairs.  Lo and Behold, HEIDI!  A friend from home was sitting upstairs and so we chatted for awhile.  It’s always nice to run into people that are easy to talk to and catch up.  I haven’t really seen her since the wedding- and we haven’t had a conversation since before that.  So it was a nice visit.

After that I went home and started to feel rather poopy, so I decided to lay down with the vicks air puffer thing John went and got me last night.  John ended up going to Science on his own so that I could have a nap before my film class and a dinner with a friend visiting from England.  I kind of hoped that we would be able to reschedule, but they ended up calling just as I was getting ready to go to film.  SO, I went to Shoots at 3:30 for some time with a long-time-no-see friend.  It was so nice- I feel so social today!  I got to hear all about all the people in Reading, and order General Tso’s chicken so I’d be able to taste it.  It was fun- and just seeing Claire I remembered a hundred things about England that I thought I’d forgotten.  After dinner I ran to film class…about an hour late…but I haven’t really missed that one too much- and I participated for the hour and a half I was there in the end…so I think it’s cool.  We watched a german short film called, “Runaway.”  Freaky.  It was very freaky.

Anyway- after THAT I ran to the grocery store to get food.  Because we haven’t really gone shopping since Thanksgiving- the leftovers gave us yummy turkey soup and turkey and potatoes in the microwave, and well…turkey…and we finally ran out of that endless supply last weekend.  So now we have some food in the house again- which is good.  Time for some school work and then some SLEEP.  My friend from work Shanna might come over and borrow the twin bed in a bit- but other than that, it’s just me and the tree and the peeps upstairs.  Oh yes.  And a bunch of guys from church who just stopped by, rang the doorbell and yelled, “We’re from church! Don’t shoot us!” They were dropping off something for John and seeing if we needed anything.  AND they said they like our Christmas tree!! Yay!!
