I stopped at the Creamery on 9th on the way home and I remembered why I never stop at the Creamery. The things is, I don’t like Days Market- which is the non-BYU affiliated store on the way home, cause their milk smells weird. Yucky weird. But the Creamery has no parking- and you can’t even circle the parking lot without having to go back out onto a very busy street and trying to re enter again- and people completely disregard the enter and exit signs, and then they turn their cars around in circles- all performing 27 point turns in catastrophic unison….and all for some milk and some taco seasoning. Arg.
I spent more time in the parking lot than in the store. Then- I stopped by my brother’s apartment. I don’t usually do this either, but when I called him he said he had just cleaned, and I figured it was as safe a time as any to stop by. He’s doing good- he was playing WOW, which he hasn’t played in forever. People seem to go in spurts. Anyway, our conversation was like this:
Me: Hey. What’s up?
Him: Just playin’ WOW.
Me: Did you get that stuff sorted out?
Him: Yeah. The paperwork is over there.
Me: Cool.
Him: Hey! Do you see that? I’m about to blow up- do you see all the light coming out of me?
Me: Why don’t you just hide under those clams until it stops?
Him: Clams?
Me: Yeah, you see them? Right there.
Him: That’s a dead robot.
Me: Oh.
Yeah…that was about the gist of it. And then I left. I do love my little brother.
Work today again, good. The week has gone really fast. I think it might be because I’m working on the website right now- and I’m learning all kinds of new stuff and making decisions- it’s really shaken things up. Shanna and I went out for the worst lunch in the entire WORLD. We didn’t know what we wanted, so we went to Wendy’s where I swear to blog the chicken nuggets were tripe nuggets. Really. And then we went to Subway for a cookie where we waited through the WHOLE LINE to be told we could just get in front- but everyone looked at us like we were feeding their sandwiches to heurfonos and then the cookies were only ok. But- on the upside, I did magically shake exactly 13 cents out of my change purse, and the only person who saw it was some guy with a bluetooth bigger than his head who, when questioned “Did you see that!?” said, appreciatively: “Good work.”
That’s what I thought.
I’m glad you added in the bluetooth thing, because we didn’t discuss it yesterday, and we really should have. And the cookies really were just alright. Ironically, the best one was the oatmeal raisin. At least it’s healthy right?? =)
